Exercise rehabilitation is an area of allied health that uses exercise to restore good health and physical capability to people after illness or injury, or to improve the quality of life and manage physical function in people with chronic disease and physical disabilities. You will study anatomy, physiology, exercise physiology, exercise prescription, clinical exercise physiology, biomechanics, and neuromechanics as part of your core subjects. Scientific training will improve your skills in data gathering and analysis, physiological systems integration and, most importantly, understanding the fundamental processes behind both healthy and unhealthy human bodies. This scientific foundation will enable you to adapt to a variety of situations in the workplace and to develop exercise programs for a wide variety of individuals with various health conditions and disabilities.
