- To qualify for entry into Honours, students must have qualified for the Bachelor of Social Science at the University of Wollongong, or a degree deemed by the Head of Students to be equivalent, and achieved a WAM of at least 70, with an average of at least 75 in 24cp of third year subjects relevant to the honours area proposed

- Students considering an Honours degree are encouraged to talk to the relevant Honours Coordinator well in advance to seek approval for enrolment, discuss their program, and negotiate a thesis topic and supervisors
