This coursework helps future sport leaders apply advanced concepts of organization and planning in the sport setting. Through internship-like experiences, they will gain budgetary skills that will aid in financial planning and revenue development as well as marketing concepts related specifically to the sport industry. Individuals will be able to see legal concepts in action as they relate to sport. Holding a Master’s of Sport Management opens several career paths. Graduates can choose to enter facility management; focus on revenue generation in development, ticket sales, and/or marketing; or pursue a role in the business office of a sport organization.  They can also work directly with athletes in a number of capacities including media and community relations.

Applicants are accepted from a variety of undergraduate backgrounds, but applicants are expected to have completed an undergraduate degree in good standing. Application Requirements include: Complete the online application; Pay the $55 application fee; Score at or above the 40th percentile on the GRE (Average: 149 Verbal, 151 Quant, 3.5 Analytical Writing) or MAT (Average: 505-510); Provide transcripts of all college/university credits; Provide three contacts for letters of recommendation; AND Include a statement of purpose in your online application.
