Psychology is the science of behavior and mental processes. By unlocking many of the mysteries behind human behavior through a psychology degree, you are prepared to enter a variety of career fields. If you plan on furthering your education, USU's program helps you meet prerequisites for graduate programs. The majority of students continue their education, earning master's and doctorate degrees. If you decide to stop after earning your bachelor's, you can pursue a career as a probation and parole officer, career counselor, rehabilitation specialist, psychiatric technician, and more. Your online classes may include individual assignments, discussion postings, and quizzes/exams; there are may also be cooperative group projects and group assignments. Your instructor will support you by: guiding you through activities, posting announcements, providing lectures, responding to questions, and providing timely feedback on assignments and exams.

In addition to Utah State University’s admissions requirements, the psychology program has additional requirements: Freshmen: Students that meet the USU admission requirements can be admitted in to the pre-psychology major; Transfer Students: Transfer students and USU students transferring from other majors qualify for the pre-psychology major with a 2.75 USU/Overall GPA. Students will remain as pre-psychology majors until they have completed specific requirements (refer to program website).
