The Online 2nd Bachelor’s of Science (BS) in communicative disorders is a pre-professional degree program that provides students with academic and practical preparation needed for graduate study in the communication sciences and disorders or CSD professions of speech-language pathology and audiology, or in deaf education. A master’s degree is the entry level for employment as a speech-language pathologist or deaf educator, while audiologists require a clinical doctorate, with most employment settings also requiring certification and state licensure. Bachelor’s degree graduates may also work as technicians or assistants in communicative disorders, but requirements, responsibilities, and conditions vary by state and employer. In addition, the undergraduate curriculum offers a broad preparation in general education, with a sound scientific foundation suitable for diverse careers in health, education, and human services.
