This study program is tailored for individuals with a keen interest in aircraft mechanics, aircraft construction, engines, mechanical systems, aerodynamics, UAVs, or satellites, who aspire to pursue a career in the aviation or aerospace industry. We view innovation in aeronautics as an interdisciplinary endeavor. Your expertise in electronics, mechanics, IT, transportation, aeronautics, or any other engineering discipline will enhance your team's capabilities and provide a competitive edge.
The objective of this study program is to equip participants with highly specialized knowledge in aeronautical engineering. Graduates will possess interdisciplinary skills, enabling them to independently tackle tasks related to aircraft construction and engine engineering. They will have the ability to engineer, draft, model, and develop new aircraft projects. Furthermore, our graduates can apply their acquired knowledge in the operations of aviation companies, utilizing cutting-edge technologies across diverse work environments. They can analyze and creatively address technical, administrative, and legal challenges inherent in aircraft development, production, and operation—a global concern. Graduates will also be adept at assessing the impact and significance of decisions made by engineering professionals in shaping societal development.
What will you learn?
After graduation you will be able to: • draw and engineer aircraft mechanical parts and systems with the help of computer modelling software; • perform calculations of aircraft flight aerodynamic characteristics and assess them; • analyse aircraft wings and their profile parameters, select optimum numerical values of wing parameters; • make decisions on organization of aircraft technical maintenance and technical performance of works; • independently perform repair works of various aircraft units; • understand UAV and CubeSAT technologies; • understand legal aspects of aircraft engineering and maintenance organizations.
What are the career opportunities after after?
Obtain employment in the fields of aeronautical and aerospace industries: as specialists or senior specialists of various aviation companies; as an aviation mechanics engineer in UAB FL Technics, UAB Avionexpress, UAB Airhub, Ryanair, VSAT aviation unit; Design satellites, and their systems in companies like: UAB Astrolight; UAB Nanoavionics, UAB Blackswan; Design UAVs and their systems in companies like: UAB IT logika; UAB UDS; UAB Aviatic MRO; UAB AeroDiagnostika
