How do social media contribute to the spread of (mis)information? What’s the best way for an organisation to tackle reputational damage? And is it easier to have tough conversations via social media, or is it better to have them face-to-face? If you're interested in how media and communication influence the way we think, act and feel, then the Bachelor's in Communication Science could be right for you.

Do you want to use media and communication to make the world a better place?

During the Bachelor's in Communication Science, you’ll take a scientific approach to studying communication processes. You’ll learn to analyse and understand the many forms of media and communication. Alongside curriculum- and methodology-based courses, each semester you’ll also work on a project on a research topic of your choice, often in collaboration with industry professionals. This allows you to create impact and become familiar with the various roles a communication professional can take on.

As a communication scientist, you’ll be an information expert, acting as a spokesperson or PR officer. But you could also design campaigns or conduct media analyses. In all cases, you’ll play a crucial role in solving problems.
