The Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (B.Sc. Engg. in EEE) at Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology (DUET) is a rigorous 04 (four) year undergraduate program designed to equip diploma engineers with advanced theoretical knowledge and hands-on technical skills in the field of electrical and electronic engineering. The curriculum emphasizes core competencies in circuit theory, electronics, power systems, communication systems, signal processing, electromagnetics, control systems, and computer programming, all tailored to foster a deep understanding of modern engineering challenges. To complete the degree program, a student will require earning a minimum of 145.50 credits. In the last academic year, students have to perform a Thesis/Project under the guidance of a faculty supervisor.

The main focus of the EEE program curriculum is on three major areas- power and energy, electronics, communication. A student is expected to specialize in any one of these groups without compromising the fundamental knowledge of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Moreover, courses in basic science, mathematics, and relevant branch of Engineering including laboratory experience will enable the effective use of modern equipment for measurement and design. In addition, education in humanities, social sciences, ethical principles and management is provided with special attention to the development of written and oral communication skills. Technical Elective coursework that encourages individual interests and provides the opportunity to gain further knowledge in multiple disciplines facilitates the development of problem solving, teamwork, and engineering design skills with the aid of tools, such as, the computer.

The courses on Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering are designed to emphasize on a strong foundation in physics, mathematics, and chemistry, followed by a thorough coverage of basic electrical and electronic engineering courses such as circuit theory, electrical machines, analogue electronics, digital electronics, microprocessor, as well as signal and systems. At higher levels, students are exposed to power electronics and industrial drives, power system engineering, high voltage engineering, renewable energy, digital signal and image processing, VLSI system design, control theory, communication systems, and semiconductor devices and technology.
