The Department of
Industrial & Production Engineering, DUET, Gazipur has been offering undergraduate
program (B. Sc in Industrial & Production Engineering) since its inception
of 2012. The course curricula have been designed compatible to the existing and
emerging needs of the industry. The autonomy of the University is a privilege
to the department in terms of flexibility provided to add, modify and revise
syllabi at different time intervals to cater contemporary needs of the
industrial concerns. The laboratories have also been initiated and modernized
with the assistance of government and UGC. Eminent experts from both academia
and industryactively help framing teaching schemes or course curricula.We have
introduced its Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum for undergraduate
studies in 2022. It is developed in alignment with the guidelines of the Board
of Accreditation for Engineering and Technical Education (BAETE), Bangladesh.
Our curriculum is the result of collaborative
efforts by faculty members, industry experts, alumni, and academic
professionals. We believe this will empower our students to emerge as competent
engineers, responsible leaders, and contributors to national and global
development.

Admission Requirements
40+
A candidate for
admission into the 1st year class must have passed the minimum 3 or 4 years
Diploma in Engineering examination from Bangladesh Technical Education Board
(after 10 years of schooling) or any examination recognized as equivalent there
to and must also Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology, Gazipur
fulfill all other requirements as may be prescribed by the Admission Committee.
In case of confusion regarding the equivalence the case may be referred to the
Degree Equivalence Committee. Relevant
