The Walter and Grace Lantz Undergraduate Animation Program provides students with a deep understanding of traditional and digital approaches essential for success in film, television, video game design, and developing media forms. Explore your artistic vision while gaining hands-on experience in visual effects, stop-motion, motion-capture, 3D filmmaking, and more. You will leave our program with the technical craft and storytelling skills needed to realize all the worlds, characters, and stories you can imagine. Through this program, students will: Be ethical and humanistic animation storytellers, grounded in traditional skills and innovation; Produce, through the unification of technology and artistic expression, creative projects embedded with social and aesthetical relevance; and Validate and integrate collaborative filmmaking as the foundation of the animation workflow process, defined by discipline, self-analysis and critical thinking.
