LMU's Elementary Education Credential Program prepares you to serve as a teacher in a California public school elementary classroom. Our curriculum leads to a combined California Multiple Subject Preliminary Teaching Credential and an MA degree. This program follows the pre-service, "traditional" track, concluding in student teaching. Upon successful completion of coursework, California Commission on Teacher Credentialing requirements, clinical practice and student teaching in a public school, you will be eligible for a California Preliminary Multiple Subject Teaching Credential combined with a Master of Arts degree in Elementary Education. No prior teaching experience is required.  LMU works in partnership with a broad network of school districts in the Southern California area for student teaching support, placement, and practice.
