Healthcare is among the most complex systems in our society. This innovative program — the only one of its kind in Southern California — is designed to educate current and future healthcare professionals on the important principles of systems engineering to help optimally manage the complexities and challenges facing healthcare today. The program was developed in collaboration with Kaiser Permanente and can be tailored to the needs of the working student. Its unique strengths are internationally recognized research and teaching in Lean methods as applied to the healthcare delivery and engineering community, as well as renowned faculty. Bachelor's degree in science or engineering from a U.S. accredited university. Candidates with degrees from U.S. accredited universities in other fields (e.g., psychology, pre-med, business) who have completed upper division science, mathematics and statistics courses will be evaluated individually.
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 recommended. Lower GPA will be considered on a case-by-case basis
