The M.S. in Taxation prepares skilled, ethical tax professionals for a complex, strategic and evolving environment. Gain knowledge to apply business and tax concepts to relevant settings and skills needed to research tax law and use tax-related technology. Learn how tax policy shapes societal and corporate behavior and can be used to reduce societal inequities. Students will be ready to pursue or advance their career as a tax practitioner at an accounting firm, law firm or government tax agency, start their own practice or join a financial planning firm. Students who have completed the prerequisite coursework before starting our program may complete the M.S. in Taxation in 1 year on a full-time basis or 2 years on a part-time basis for a total of 30 units.
