According to the development trend of the continuous deepening of the connotation of urban planning and the continuous expansion of the extension under the conditions of the market economy, we will continue to track the development frontiers of urban planning, "facing modernization, facing the world, and facing the future", and build an urban planning professional education system with the characteristics of Southeast University. To cultivate domestically leading and internationally competitive urban planning senior professionals with an all-round development of moral, intellectual, physical and aesthetics.
( 1 ) Urban planning professional education should be the unity of vocational education and quality education, its educational process is the unity of stages and continuity, and its educational goal is the unity of future planners' knowledge education, comprehensive ability training and professional ethics education.
( 2 ) Review and optimize the existing teaching system with a systematic concept, establish a curriculum system based on general education, strengthen planning and comprehensive quality education, and continuously strengthen, improve and integrate urban planning and architecture, landscape architecture, art design, etc. The organic connection between multiple disciplines; improve teaching efficiency, and establish a matching teaching plan, teaching material and teacher organization structure.
( 3 ) establish an open educational concept, seek multi-level and multi-faceted cooperation channels, so that students have a broad academic vision, flexible practical ability, organizational cooperation ability and innovation ability, so that they can adapt to the changing society as soon as possible after entering the society need.
