Master of Architecture

The architecture discipline of Southeast University, founded in 1927, is the origin of modern architectural education in China. Adhering to the school motto of "Stop at Perfection", its development continues to lead China's higher architectural education and has great international influence. At present, the architectural discipline is the first-level discipline doctoral degree authorization point and the first-level discipline national key discipline. The discipline is now the “985” and “211” key construction disciplines of Southeast University, as well as the key disciplines and advantageous disciplines of Jiangsu Province. There are 3 academicians, 2 Changjiang Scholars, 1 National Outstanding Youth, 18 doctoral supervisors, 59 master supervisors, 1 national teaching team, 2 national excellent courses, and the Ministry of Education for Urban and Architectural Heritage Protection Key laboratory, UNESCO East University GIS Center, key scientific research base of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage for the study of traditional wooden building construction techniques, and professional laboratories for architectural operations and applications. On the basis of inheriting the history of Dongda University, the disciplines track the frontier, cross-integrate, and develop and innovate. In addition to academicians' recognized academic leadership in the domestic urban environment and architectural creation research, young and middle-aged scholars in the architectural discipline of Dongda University are engaged in urban design, urban architectural integration, architectural history and theory, architectural heritage protection, architectural industrialization, architectural computing and Application and other professional directions have achieved outstanding results and have an important impact at home and abroad.
