The institute focuses on the development of advanced electrical and electronic talents and actively participates in various important domestic research projects. The research of the electrical system includes power systems and power electronics, communication, image processing, voice processing, statistical signal processing, and large scale. Integrated circuit design and testing, optoelectronic and electromagnetic, laser characteristics and applications.
The department has a microelectronics manufacturing and testing laboratory to assist engineers and technicians in the semiconductor industry. It also provides teachers and students from the department and external schools to conduct related research and teaching. The department also actively participates in the school-wide "Semiconductor Industry and Manufacturing" and "Microsystems Technology" courses to cultivate cross-disciplinary engineering talents.
