The "Institute of Analytical and Environmental Sciences (IAES)” belonging to the College of Nuclear Science at National Tsing Hua University was established in 2019. As the only institute comprises the research fields of both analytical chemistry and environmental science, our goal is to cultivate elites in these two particular fields through solid academic foundation as well as advanced research. We expect our students to possess the profession and expertise in environmental sciences.
Based on the premise of sustainable development, Institute of Analytical and Environmental Sciences is built on the basis of ""Analytical Chemistry"", ""Ecology and Health"" and ""Green Technology"". Our primary task is to establish a teaching and research team dedicating itself to the development of novel analytical techniques as well as sustainable technologies.
Currently, IAES has 8 faculty, including 7 professors and 1 assistant professor, with solid backgrounds in analytical chemistry, environmental chemistry, materials chemistry, electrochemistry, energy technology, ecology and environmental medicine, directing advanced research and offering graduate courses. The main research topics and courses focus on low-carbon energy/analysis techniques, green technology and environmental sustainability. Through multidisciplinary cooperation, we aim for solving challengingly environmental issues and creating valuable achievements in environmental community.
