The Department of Electrical Engineering cultivates elites in electrical engineering with humanistic qualities, scientifics spirits, self-learning, independent thinking, knowledge creation abilities and global perspectives. The undergraduate program puts special emphasis on providing balanced and multi-disciplinary training to students. All students are required to participate in one-year term projects for enhancement of their teamwork experiences and hands-on abilities. Our department compulsory courses offer in both English and Chinese. These courses cultivate electrical engineering talents with abilities to communicate professionally in a foreign language, as well as to interact with international communities. Our department also offers regulations for the acquisition of a BA and MA degree in 5 years.
In the undergraduate program, we emphasize balanced and multi-disciplinary training. Students are encouraged to participate in research projects, which can develop their hands-on experiences and problem-solving capabilities. Curriculum contains eight sub-areas and help students cultivate knowledge and interest in each sub-area:
