Cyber security is one of the fastest growing sectors in Australia – and around the world – with rapid technological advancement and the evolving threat environment increasing demand that is set to see around 17,000 new jobs needed by 2026¹.



With the unprecedented penetration of computers and telecommunications systems outpacing advancements in cybersecurity, there is a significant need for telecommunications professionals with expertise in cybersecurity to ensure modern satellite, Internet of Things (IoT) and other emerging communication systems are designed – from the very start – with consideration for cybersecurity.



The only master’s degree of its type in Australia, this program will prepare you to perform design, cybersecurity, research and development, and analytics roles with government agencies, defence contractors or IoT companies. It may also lead to a career in research, with a PhD in space, telecommunications, software, systems or satellite engineering, or the engineering of secure emerging technologies.
