The brain is one of the most complex systems in the universe and understanding how it functions is one of science's most significant challenges. The BSc. Neuroscience Major program seeks to provide you with the knowledge necessary to understand and contribute to scientific research in the field. You'll be learning in a highly interdisciplinary environment, with the program borrowing principles and methodologies from biology, biochemistry, physiology, psychology, mathematics, physics, computer science, and immunology.

You will start off with fundamental courses in physiology, biology, mathematics, computer science, psychology, and ethics. For your remaining core courses, you can choose between three streams of neuroscience: Cell/Molecular, Neurophysiology/Neural Computation, or Cognition/Behavioural. These core courses will be accompanied by complementary ones from relevant areas of science that best suit your interests.

Neuroscience is a competitive entry program with admission limited to 50 students per year.
