About Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University – IMSIU
Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University (IMSIU) is a comprehensive government higher education institution with its main campuses in Riyadh, the capital city of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia—one for male students and one for female students. The university originated from the merger of the Islamic Law College and the Arabic Language College in Riyadh and was officially established by royal decree in 1951. IMSIU's strength lies in its strong Islamic foundations and its significant contributions to both local and international communities across various fields.
The university has played a crucial role in shaping the country's leadership, with many of its graduates holding prominent positions in Saudi Arabia. It is a tuition-free institution and offers scholarships to students from around the world.
The university comprises fourteen colleges and four institutes. As a cultural and intellectual institution, the university is committed to fostering knowledge by offering undergraduate and postgraduate programs. It also operates an internal TV channel, a college studio, and Mira'at Al-Jami’ah (a weekly published newspaper). Some colleges have specialized learning resources, such as the Virtual Court at the Higher Judicial Institute and the Hadith Lab at the College of Religion Fundamentals. Additionally, IMSIU's Bawabat Al-Ma’rifa (Knowledge Portal) provides access to numerous published proceedings from IMSIU conferences and its various publications.

IMSIU offers bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in fields such as Shari'ah, Religion Fundamentals, Arabic Language, Social Sciences, Media and Communication, Languages and Translation, Computer Science and Information Science, Economics and Administrative Sciences, Medicine, basic sciences, and Engineering. Postgraduate programs are overseen by the Deanship of Graduate Studies, which is dedicated to advancing education, research, and knowledge dissemination.
