This program explores science in real life and students receive training in handling criminal casework in forensic biology and forensic chemistry to those who aspire to be a skilled and dedicated forensic investigators. This degree aims to develop in-depth knowledge of new forensic analysis methods and innovations; hands-on experience from real casework; practise presenting expert evidence in moot courts. Professional recognition will vary depending upon students’ choice of major: Forensic Chemistry: The Australian and New Zealand Forensic Science Society (ANZFSS) and the Royal Australian Chemical Institute (RACI) recognise graduates of this award; Forensic Molecular Biology: The Australian and New Zealand Forensic Science Society (ANZFSS) and the Australian Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB) recognise graduates of this award.
