This program is scheduled to commence in 2020. This double degree offers students an understanding of Asia's political, economic and cultural environment and specialised legal skills. Students will be equipped to help organisations make crucial decisions that can affect their success. In the law component, the degree offers a professional legal curriculum that focuses on core areas of legal practice and the legal skills that lawyers must have. Students may choose law electives based on their interests, including clinical courses that emphasise practical legal skills, insights and experience. Courses in the law component cover Crime, Contracts, Property, Corporate Law, Torts and Theories of Law. For students who complete five Canadian Law courses, they will eligible for entry into the legal profession in Canada's common law provinces, when accompanied by a Certificate of Qualification from the National Committee on Accreditation (NCA) of the Federation of Law Societies of Canada. In the Asian Studies component, students will be prepared to take advantage of new and exciting opportunities working in Australia and overseas as an expert on Asian affairs.
