This degree covers a deep understanding of policy, politics and power in the modern world, and the factors that shape these dynamics at the national and international realms. Students will learn about political institutions and processes, business-government relations, and foreign policy and globalisation through this program. In order to complete this degree, students have to undertake either a parliamentary internship or a work placement. Honours is available for this degree (through an additional year of study). The Bachelor of Government and International Relations (Honours) program consists of 80 credit points of work including coursework and supervised research leading to a dissertation. Students will be required to complete 20 credit points of honours-level research methodology courses. Students will also need to complete elective courses to a total weighting of 20 credit points. The course for supervised research which leads to the dissertation will have a weighting of 40 credit points.
