The Social Studies Teacher Department was established in 2013 with a bachelor’s program, in which the student studies eight classes in four years.  Leadership and educational excellence in preparing teachers and researchers in social studies according to quality programs that achieve social education based on the values of society and keeping abreast with development. Dissemination of correct scientific concepts regarding the nation’s history, present, future and homeland to prepare conscious, educated youth who can help their country and society.

Objectives

  1. Graduating youth who are educated about their Arab and Islamic homeland
  2. Providing opportunities for the people of Socotra who are deprived of this field, especially in biology, maps and history
  3. Filling the shortage in Socotra schools in the field of social studies
  4. Qualifying the teachers of Socotra scientifically in this field to benefit their students in schools
  5. Conducting theoretical and applied studies in geography and history fields of Socotra.
