The educational and scientific program "Biology" is accredited by the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance (Ukraine) for a period up to 1.07.2027 and provides consistency in the study of the specialty on the basis competency-based, student-centered approaches, principles of academic freedom, integrity, with the possibility of forming an individual educational trajectory, which makes it possible to apply the acquired knowledge in practice when preparing a dissertation. The relevance of the program and its uniqueness is determined by the possibility of ensuring research by applicants in modern and promising areas: biochemistry, microbiology, histology, medical parasitology, regenerative potential of cell therapy; the opportunity to deepen knowledge of the specialty, which creates promising competitiveness of the graduate of the program in the labor market of both scientific and academic environments; is promising in terms of employment in medical and biological institutions.

The purpose of the educational and scientific program is to ensure the training of highly qualified, competitive specialists in the field of biology, capable of producing new ideas, solving complex problems by conducting research and innovation activities, which involves a deep rethinking of the existing and creation of new integral knowledge in biology, the implementation of scientific and pedagogical activity. The main focus of the educational-scientific program and specialization is the formation of the necessary competencies for carrying out scientific and professional activities in biology, the ability to solve complex problems in the field of professional and/or research and innovation activities, which involves a deep rethinking of the existing and creation of new integral knowledge and /or professional practice.

Education seekers carry out scientific research according to an individual work plan, which is regulated by the content, deadlines and scope of the scientific work and planning the deadline for the completion and defense of the dissertation work during postgraduate studies. The performance of scientific research is ensured by the presence of powerful scientific schools and modern research laboratories. Scientific research is carried out according to an individual learning trajectory with a wide selection of academic disciplines.

Objectives of the educational and scientific program "Biology":

1. Training of specialists capable of performing professional, scientific activities by ensuring the provision of educational services of appropriate quality, compliance with high standards in teaching.

2. Development of fundamental and applied science in the field of biology, training of specialists capable of carrying out scientific and pedagogical activities, application of deep knowledge of various spheres of biological science, their integration in solving socially oriented tasks, evaluation of modern achievements of biological science.

3. Creation of conditions for self-development, self-realization, spiritual search for graduate students, which is the key to the formation of highly educated, free, democratic and nationally conscious people.
