Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT) Noida, is “Deemed to be University” under section 3 of UGC Act 1956 by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). JIIT is a NAAC accredited and AICTE approved institute. JIIT is a multidisciplinary University and is a Centre-of-Excellence for education, training, research, innovations and IPR in the field of IT, CSE, ECE, Biotechnology, Physics, Mathematics, Humanities & Social Sciences and Management.

The Institute presently offers Diploma, Undergraduate (BTech, BSc, BCA, B.Com & BBA), Postgraduate (MTech, MBA, MSc, MCA) and PhD programs. Three new programs are being introduced from AY 2025-26, namely; M.Com, B.Com & MDes.

The Institute has a strong academic environment aimed at research. 6394 research papers have been published and JIIT has received 156 research grants from various Govt. agencies worth over 32.6 Crores. The Institute has a regular student exchange program with global Universities.

JIIT has declared the current decade (2021-2030) as the “Decade of Innovation”. JIIT has also set up a digital learning platform “Digital Learning Centre”. DLC comprises of state-of-the-art multimedia studio, discussion and chroma studios, a 100-seater review cum lecture room supported by automated control, editing, and simulation and animation infrastructure.

JIIT has established RIDE to create an eco-system of innovation by involving bright and innovative faculty and students. RIDE Innovation Hub comprises of start-up cabins, students make & learn space, advanced characterisation. Fabrication Laboratory, Computational Facility & Artificial Intelligence Laboratory has been established. A high-performance computing facility (Ramanujan Universe) has been set up to boost complex high-end computational training.

About 160 companies such as Microsoft, LinkedIn, Amazon, Cisco, Morgan Stanley, Playsimple Games, ZS Associates, SAP Labs, American Express,  Magicpin, Intel, Deloitte USI, Genpact, Rohde & Schwarz, KPMG India, Hyperverge, Plotline, Oracle Financial Software Services, SalesCode.ai, Watchguard Technologies, IIFL Livlong, ION Group, Kickdrum, Convegenius, Zycus, Evigway Technologies, SquadStack, ChangeCX, OnActuate, STMicroelectronics, Mahindra Bristlecone, Nestle India, Futures First, S&P Global, Thales Group, RateGain, Nference, Siemens, Accenture, LTIMindtree, Cognizant, TCS, Motherson Technology Services, Rockwell Automation, Orange Business Services,  etc. visited the campus. The institute stresses on grooming the students as per current industry requirements. For the 2025 batch, over 87% students are placed. The highest package offered is by Atlassian for Rs. 62 Lakhs.
