Overview: MTech. in Computer Science and Engineering (MTech-CSE) is a 4-semester (2 years) postgraduate program offered by the Department of Computer Science & Engineering and Information Technology at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT), Noida. ·     Core subjects covering fundamental and advanced computing concepts such as Data Structures and Algorithms for Big Data, Machine Learning and Data Mining, Cloud and Web Services Software Engineering, Performance Evaluation of Computing Systems, etc.

·     Elective courses allowing specialization in cutting-edge technologies like Advanced programming with python and R, Object oriented programming using JAVA, Software Quality and Testing, Computer Vision, Cryptography and Cybersecurity, Essential Statistics for Data Science, Web Intelligence, Digital Forensics and Fraud Analytics, and Text Analytics, etc.

·     Laboratory work with access to modern computing resources and real-world simulation environments. These laboratory work needs to be carried out by the students in laboratory courses such as, Advanced Algorithms Lab, Machine Learning and Data Mining Lab, Cloud Technology Lab, Cloud and Web Services Lab, Performance Engineering Lab, and IOT Systems Development Lab, etc.

·     Project-based learning to bridge the gap between academics and industry requirements.

The MTech-CSE is framed in such a way that student can design their degree according to their interests and career aspirations. In the beginning of the second semester, student has freedom to select any one of the following specialized areas:

·     MTech-CSE (if they do not wish to opt for any particular specialization)

·     MTech-CSE with specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI&ML)

·     MTech-CSE with specialization in Data Analytics (DA)

·     MTech-CSE with specialization in Cyber Security (CYS)

·     MTech-CSE with specialization in Internet of Things (IoT)

·     MTech-CSE with specialization in Information Technology and Entrepreneurship (ITE)

Entrepreneurial Opportunities: The institute encourages students to develop innovative products and solutions, often supported by funding and mentorship programs. Placement, Internship, and Teaching Assistantship (TA): The placement record at JIIT Noida for the MTech-CSE program is good, with several companies visiting the campus and actively recruiting the graduates. The dedicated placement cell at JIIT Noida ensures that students of MTech-CSE program receive ample opportunities through pre-placement training and mock interviews. In addition, students do their dissertation/thesis as part of the industrial internship. Also, selected students get the opportunity to avail the TA of Rs. 15000/- per month. CGPA (greater than equal to 7.5) and students with valid GATE score are some of the criteria for availing the TA.
