JBS was started in the year 2007 as a constituent of Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (Deemed University). It has made good progress in a short span and has shown a very high level of academic accomplishment. JBS has benchmarked itself with the latest content and teaching methodologies across the country. The mission of JBS is “to prepare and produce competent, passionate and market centric professionals who can manage human resources, business operations and ensure world class practices with endurance and commitment”.

The BBA programme was started in the year 2019. The 3-year full-time BBA curriculum is a dynamic and flexible program designed to offer an engaging learning experience through creative combinations of disciplines and innovative pedagogical practices. It provides students with an exit option after three years, awarding a degree, while those aiming for an honors degree can pursue a fourth year. The major specializations / discipline specific electives in the area of Finance, Marketing, HR, IT, Business Analytics, Family Business & Entrepreneurship, Insurance and Banking, and Healthcare Management are introduced in the third year. In the fourth year, students can choose between two paths: Honors with research, including a dissertation in Semester 8, or Honors with an industry project, along with discipline-specific electives with major and minor specialization.

The program emphasizes strong industry-academia collaboration through internships, live projects, guest lectures, and industry visits. A mandatory corporate internship at the end of the second year offers students hands-on exposure to the corporate environment. The internship report includes industry analysis, financial analysis, and a live project, which students present to a faculty panel. Additionally, students engage in Project-Based Learning (PBL) and fieldwork as part of their specialization courses. Guest lectures and industry visits further enrich their understanding of corporate dynamics.

JBS has established partnerships with reputable institutions, including foreign universities, for International exposure and is planning an International Immersion Program for BBA students. The curriculum has been revised in line with the NEP 2020 guidelines, allowing flexibility for students to pause and resume their studies. Beyond academics, students actively participate in extracurricular activities through the Jaypee Youth Club (JYC), the annual fest "Impressions," and other cultural events. JBS also provides excellent placement opportunities for internships and final placements. Campus facilities include separate air-conditioned hostels for boys and girls, a mess serving quality vegetarian food, and a strong mentoring system where faculty mentors track students' academic progress and overall welfare. The program offers a holistic approach, balancing academic rigor with industry exposure and personal development.

LAB:

Jaypee Business School maintains two computer labs, offering a combined computational capacity of 120 interconnected computer nodes connected through a LAN network. Each of these computers/nodes is equipped with an Intel i7 processor and 16 GB of RAM. They operate on the Windows 2010 platform and come equipped with cutting-edge software such as SPSS, AMOS, and various open-source tools including Tableau Desktop version. At JBS, significant emphasis is placed on the utilization of these laboratories.
