If you are a first-year student there are three options depending on the student's origin:
Students from the Spanish educational system.
Students from European education systems, Switzerland, International Baccalaureate, China or other countries with bilateral agreements with Spain.
This degree is designed for students who want to apply engineering and technological innovation to improve human health. It combines technical proficiency in AI, data science, and biomedical engineering with a deep understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, preparing graduates to design devices, processes, and systems that create meaningful impact. Students develop critical thinking, analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, ensuring their solutions are both technically robust and clinically relevant.
A distinguishing feature of the program is its multidisciplinary approach: 50% of credits are focused on engineering, 23% on health sciences, and 7% on management and innovation. Students can also personalize their learning by exploring research, innovation, and practical applications that align with their interests.
The program's methodology isbased on the three I’s: Interaction, Immersion, and Innovation. Interaction emphasizes close collaboration between students and faculty, fostering dialogue, critical thinking, and professional language acquisition through lectures, seminars, and events. Immersion ensures students gain real-world experience through internships in hospitals, clinics, and healthtech companies, while developing transferable skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and communication.
