The programme will offer Psychology graduates the opportunity to prepare for practice as a speech and language therapist and to apply for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists. Speech and Language Therapists are concerned with the management of disorders of language, speech, fluency, voice, communication and swallowing in children and adults. This programme will focus in particular on creating research-active graduates who will contribute to evidence-based practice within the profession.

Applicants must have a minimum 2:1 UK undergraduate honours degree (or international equivalent) and either have studied successfully to A-Level standard or above in the last 5 years or obtained recent and significant relevant work experience (for example, working as a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant).
