This course is undergoing a review over the next year which may mean a change to the course title and units of study. Physical Geography focuses on the understanding, assessment and modelling of physical interactions and processes that govern the environment and landscape. You will examine modern environmental phenomena, the long-term evolution of the landscape and the impact humans have had on it, particularly in terms of past and future climate change. You will also gain an understanding of the dynamic nature of the Earth through historical and process-based approaches. Fieldwork is an important part of this degree and you will be able to take full advantage of day-long and residential national and overseas field trips. GCSE grade C/4 in English Language or Level 2 Functional Skills English and GCSE grade C/4 in Mathematics or Level 2 Functional Skills Mathematics and GCSE grade C/4 in Science or BTEC Level 2 in Applied Science with grade merit
