Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering (Non-Thesis) (Environmental Engineering) is offered to the students who wish to specialize in the general area of civil engineering. The program consists of a minimum of 45 credits, of which, depending on the student's home department, a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 15 may be allotted to the research project. The balance of 30 to 40 credits is earned by coursework. The Department also allows students to complete the program using a minimum of 45 credits of coursework only. The Environmental Engineering option is administered by the Faculty of Engineering. The minimum academic standard for admission is a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.0/4.0 in a recognized program. Alternatively, an equivalent grade point average of no less than 3.2/4.0 over the last two years of the program will be accepted.
