AN INTRODUCTION TO THE PROGRAMME

The Middlesex University Dubai MA Human Resource Management degree is delivered within the Business School. It is designed for recent graduates and working professionals who aim to deepen their expertise and accelerate career progression. The programme focuses on key areas such as managing talent across the employee life cycle, performance management, expatriate management, corporate social responsibility and ethics, and strategy and leadership. Grounded in the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) professional standards, the course addresses highly relevant topics in people management and development. It ensures that graduates meet internationally recognised HR benchmarks and are equipped to drive organisational success in a dynamic, global environment.

The course will enable you to develop your capabilities in utilising people-related data, metrics, and analytics for insight-driven and informed practice to further the organisation’s priorities. The course also has several activities, such as case studies, student-led appraisals, and residential projects, which all embed an understanding of applying theory in practice.

The core modules of the course provide a platform for you to develop your knowledge, critical thinking, and ability to apply theory to practice. This part of the course will enable the acquisition of threshold concepts and models, develop people management and development skills, enhancing your understanding of professional and ethical practice principles, and allow you to explore tools and techniques for influencing others.
