This one-year full-time course enables you to meet the national standards for the award of qualified teacher status (QTS). It will help you to become an excellent Biology teacher and develop competence across the entire range of the National Curriculum for Science. You will learn to integrate theory and practice, as part of a stimulating and ambitious curriculum.

- Strong course structure - The PGCE Biology with Science (QTS) course has been developed alongside partnership schools. The curriculum allows you to develop a deep understanding of science pedagogy (the practice of teaching).
- Learn through practice - We have a range of specialist science and teaching facilities, providing you with a solid foundation on which to develop your skills and experience. We have excellent relationships with partnership schools.
- Course accreditation - This degree is accredited by the Teaching Regulation Agency, Department for Education.

For this course, ideally, we are looking for these qualifications:
- 2:2 hons degree or equivalent qualification plus English and Maths GCSEs at grade 4/C or above
- A strong Biology A Level (or equivalent)
