Explore the science of the mind in a course that blends psychological theory with insights from neuroscience. This BPS-accredited degree equips you with a deep understanding of behaviour, cognition, and mental health, preparing you for a future in clinical psychology, mental health, neuroscience, research, and beyond.

  • Psychology meets neuroscience - Study human behaviour through the lens of psychology while gaining a deeper understanding of the brain, spinal cord, and nervous system. Learn how neural mechanisms underpin cognition, emotion, and mental health, and how psychological and neuroscience principles can be applied in the real world.
  • BPS accredited - This course is accredited by the British Psychological Society, meaning you’ll be eligible for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC). This means that with further study, you can become a chartered psychologist.
  • Advanced practical training - Use state-of-the-art equipment including EEG systems, eye-trackers, and psychophysiological monitoring tools in specialist neuroscience labs at our £23 million West Stand facilities. You’ll develop skills to research, analyse and interpret complex data, and work with real-life cases studies in lab-based settings.
  • Clinical and diagnostic insight - Explore how neurological and psychiatric disorders are studied, diagnosed, and treated, and develop the ability to critically analyse real-life clinical case studies. You'll have the opportunity to specialise in an area which will give you the best route towards your chosen career.
  • Exceptional placement opportunities - Gain real-world experience with a year-long placement at leading institutions. Our graduates have been placed at Great Ormond Hospital School, St Georges Hospital, Priory Hospital, Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, Institute of Education, University College London, Holloway Prison, and the Metropolitan Police.
  • Research-led learning - Learn from active researchers and expert practitioners in psychology and neuroscience through a mix of interactive lectures, lab sessions, and collaborative projects.
  • Career-focused development - Graduate with the skills to analyse data, design and deliver research projects, and communicate complex scientific information. You will be ready for careers in healthcare, education, research, or postgraduate study.

Through studying our Psychology with Neuroscience BSc you will gain both the theoretical and practical knowledge, as well as collaborative and ethical decision-making skills, ready for an exciting career ahead.
