The Natural Science Education (IPA) concentration in the Master of Pedagogy Program at Nusa Putra University is designed to prepare students to become experts in science teaching, with a focus on innovative theories, methods, and technologies for teaching science subjects. This concentration emphasizes a deep understanding of scientific concepts and the skills to teach these subjects in an engaging and effective way for students at various levels of education.
In this concentration, students will study various important aspects of science education, including Theory and Methods of Science Teaching, Chemistry and Physics in Education, Biology and Ecology for Education, Contextual Science Learning, and Technology in Science Learning. Students will be equipped with the skills to design and implement relevant curricula, and utilize technology to enhance students’ learning experiences. In addition, students will learn about contextual learning approaches to link scientific concepts to students’ daily lives, so that they can better understand and appreciate science.
