The Materials Concentration in the Mechanical Engineering Study Program at Nusa Putra University aims to equip students with an in-depth understanding of the properties of materials used in the engineering and manufacturing industries. Students will learn about the selection, testing, and development of materials suitable for modern industrial applications, including advanced manufacturing technologies and novel materials engineering.
This concentration includes an understanding of various types of materials such as metals, polymers, ceramics, and composites. Students will also learn modern technologies and techniques to improve material performance under various operating conditions, including extreme conditions such as high temperatures, high pressures, and corrosive environments. In addition, students will be encouraged to utilize nanotechnology and new environmentally friendly materials, in accordance with the global trend towards sustainability.
