The Communication Design graduate develops and implements communication projects using the main visual communication tools and methods and exploiting the potential of digital technologies. The Communication Designer can work in several areas of the communication domain: digital and traditional publishing; audio-visual and multimedia artefacts; corporate identity; branding, packaging and product communication; web design, interactive products and communication design for social networks and collaborative platforms.


Graduates in Communication Design are able to conceive and create communication artefacts having formal and working control capability. They are employed in companies or institutions with a vocation for communications or a solid internet presence; in multimedia and traditional publishing companies, advertising and communication agencies, IT and web consultancy companies, museums and cultural heritage institutions.

Courses taught in English 
In order to be admitted to Bachelor of Science programmes held in English, you must demonstrate: 
proficiency in English prior to enrolment. You can fulfil the language requirement, if you:
are a citizen of a country where the official language is English. This information will be verified by the document of identification you uploaded to Online Services; or have a qualification, at least upper secondary school level, obtained in English. The Politecnico will verify the information with the school that awarded you the qualification; have an appropriate certification of English language proficiency as specified on the Web page: https://www.polimi.it/en/students/language-requirements In this case, please upload the certification you have in the test registration and enrolment application. Proficiency in Italian is not an entry requirement, but you will need to obtain a B2 level in Italian before completing your Bachelor of Science programme. You can demonstrate proficiency in the Italian language if you: 
take a TOL or TOLC-I with a score of at least 30/100; are a citizen of either Italy or the Republic of San Marino or the Swiss Canton of Ticino; have a qualification, at least upper secondary school level, obtained in Italian.  If you do not demonstrate proficiency in Italian, you will be assigned the OFA (additional educational obligation) for Italian.
