The Department of Information Systems has been founded in 1428 H (2007) in a College of Computer Engineering and Sciences, however, it was under management of King Saud University. Since 1430-1431 (2009 – 2010) King Saud University in southern province of Riyadh had become Al-Kharj University. Meantime, the title of university had changed to Salman University and recently to Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University. The program grants a bachelor degree in Information systems through achieving a completion of 137 credit hours.
The CCES mission is focused on three components: scientific research, community service, and academic progress. Therefore, the IS department developed a mission statement aligned with the CCES mission statement. We can focus our efforts and delegate roles and responsibilities in achieving the CCES and IS mission components.
