Animation is communication through movement and narrative. Students are encouraged to think on their feet and respond to live and self-initiated briefs to solve creative problems. This programme has a mixture of practice and theory-based learning, including lectures, seminars, workshops, individual tutorials and self-directed study. Students will explore the medium using industry standard software and will produce an assessed portfolio of creative and professional work. Animation graduates often work as 3D/2D generalists as well as specialists in areas including concept, modelling, animation and VFX production. Ravensbourne graduates are often employed in film and television, visual effects, advertising, post-production, apps and games.
