Digital Film Production is the study of contemporary forms
of filmmaking. On this programme, students will gain a solid grounding in
established techniques as well as exploring emerging digital technologies. Apart
from that, students will attain the skills and experience to produce innovative
shorts, features, commercials and documentaries. The film industry underpins
the course and the students learn the importance of all aspects of the production
journey from financial backing to building a fan base for a film. Ravensbourne
will facilitate engagement with film technologies such as Green Screen and enable
students to experiment with 3D techniques. Filmmakers most often work within
the technical and creative departments of film production companies.
