Year 0 in games design encourages creativity, imagination and new ways of making, thinking and documenting. This programme is suitable for those who want to prepare themselves for year one of Ravensbourne’s three year undergraduate. Year 0 in games design is not a standalone course, it is the first stage of a full bachelor’s degree and once successfully completed students will be able to progress smoothly into the BA (Hons) Games Design. Students will develop their fundamental skills and gain a broad-based grounding in their chosen specialist are, an understanding of the broad cultural contexts of the creative industries in which they will work, and the ability to develop hardware and software suitable for design practice.
