The departmental excellence with the Economics department in UB includes: economics of growth and development; industrial organization; international trade; crime and justice; uncertainty and information; urban economics; and applied econometrics. UB’s Economics program integrates economic theory with applied topics, including finance, international trade, econometrics, education, growth and development, monetary economics, labor economics, urban and regional economics, industrial organization, and regulation. Students will discuss on matters relating to consumers and producers, market equilibrium, investment and savings, employment, money and banking, and government taxation and spending.

SIM offers over 80 undergraduate courses in the areas of Arts and Social Sciences, Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business & Management, and Information Technology (including Data Science, Cyber Security, Game Development, and Digital System Security).

The usual entry requirements for undergraduate programmes are ‘A’ level, IB Diploma, or Year 12 of Senior High School.  Applicants must also show proof of English proficiency. 


The average tuition fees range from S$10,000 – S$23,000 per annum.  The fee is dependent on the course and university awarding the qualification.

All undergraduate students at SIM pay full tuition fees. However, applicants with exemplary academic results may apply for the SIM Global Education Scholarship.

There are 35 postgraduate courses offered ranging from postgraduate certificate to master’s degrees covering:

The usual entry requirements include a bachelor’s degree (second class upper, or B average). Applicants will be required to submit proof of English proficiency or attend an interview with the programme director.

The average tuition fees range from S$28,000 to S$36,000 for a one-year and two-year postgraduate courses respectively.

All postgraduate students at SIM pay the full tuition fees.
