Electrical engineering covers a wide range of study areas. During their second and third years in the program, students will study basic principles and analysis of signals, electric circuits, electronics, digital circuits, and control systems. The program also includes supplementary laboratory courses for the hands-on learning experience. By the end of the first semester of their third year, students will choose to study in one of the two options: communication engineering or power engineering. In addition, through technical elective courses, students can further extend their knowledge with courses from another option and/or explore topics in other areas such as electronics, mechatronics, video, or image processing. Furthermore, in each academic year, through a project design course, students will gain the skills and understanding of rigorous engineering design, self-learning, and apply their knowledge in solving real-world problems from business and industry sectors.

There are two types of lecture sessions: normal programs in office hours and special programs in the evenings or on weekends.

Students on master’s degree programs can pursue their own interests in research-oriented programs. Students are required to complete a “thesis” to contribute to a new body of knowledge or conduct a specialized study in their industries or careers.

The doctorate degree programs encourage students to conduct a “dissertation” research contributing to the country’s development and new technologies.
