“The PhD in Communication at Universidad de La Sabana trains autonomous researchers and creators of new knowledge in Communication, Social Sciences, and the Humanities. Based on recent theoretical and methodological advances, the program focuses on the impact of technologies and digitalization on society.
The program builds upon the theoretical, methodological, and applied knowledge developed in recent years in the field of Communication, a field characterized by technological advancement, rapid changes in the digital ecosystem, and the accelerated digitalization of society. It also addresses people’s ability to use platforms as sources of information, communication channels, and tools for transforming reality.
The program enables students to act as autonomous researchers and to join the academic community within their field of training. Through their acquired knowledge and scientific rigor, graduates will be able to make well-founded judgments on complex issues, collect and analyze data, and clearly and effectively communicate their ideas and conclusions to academic and professional audiences.
Doctoral training will make it possible to create and disseminate knowledge through the study of issues related to the country’s reality, framed within international trends.”
