Nutrition

Nutritional science is the science that studies substances from food that are beneficial for health and the processes that occur in food from the time it is consumed, digested, absorbed, until it is utilized by the body and its impact on human growth, development, and survival and the factors that influence it (Hardinsyah & Victor 2000).

The Nutrition Study Program of Al Azhar Indonesia University has been accredited and has a permit based on the Decree of the Minister of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia Number 1000/KPT/I/2018. The Nutrition Study Program of Al Azhar Indonesia University was developed based on the Indonesian National Curriculum Framework (KKNI) and the National Curriculum standards for the Bachelor of Nutrition Science Program formulated by the Indonesian Nutritionists Association (PERSAGI), the Association of Indonesian Nutrition Higher Education Institutions (AIPGI), and the Indonesian College of Nutrition Sciences (KIGI).

To become a leading Nutrition Study Program in producing graduates with an entrepreneurial spirit and competence in the field of nutrition with halal and thoyib principles, and based on Islamic values.

• Providing education in the field of nutrition in accordance with national standards.
• Developing research in the field of appropriate nutrition in accordance with nutritional problems in society by applying the principles of halal nutripreneur.
• Organizing community service activities in an effort to improve public health.
• Establishing cooperation with relevant institutions both domestically and internationally in order to improve the quality of education, research, and community service.
