Bachelor of Public Administration

The existence of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences began with the establishment of the Faculty of Public Administration and Business Administration. In subsequent developments,the rector of  UPN “Veteran” Jawa Timur issued Decree Number: Skep/101/IX/2005 dated May 6, 2005, regarding the change of name from the Faculty of Public Administration to the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences. Subsequently, the status of UPN "Veteran" East Java, which was initially a State Higher Education Institution, changed to a Private Higher Education Institution under the supervision of Region VII Kopertis in accordance with the Joint Decree between the Minister of National Defense and the Minister of Education and Culture Number: 0307/0/1994 KEP/10/XI/1994 dated November 29, 1995, regarding the Enhancement of UPN "Veteran" through the Implementation of Linkages and Integration. Since 2009, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences has had four study programs: Public Administration, Business Administration, Communication Science, and International Relations. Furthermore, UPN "Veteran" East Java, based on the Presidential Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 122 of 2014 concerning the Establishment of Universitas Pembangunan Nasional "Veteran" East Java as a State Higher Education Institution. The Public Administration Study Program at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, UPN "Veteran" East Java (FISIP-UPNVJT), is organized based on the decision of the Rector 92/UN63/KP/2020 regarding the name change of the Public Administration Study Program. From 2022 to 2026, the Public Administration Study Program has been accredited as EXCELLENT. In addition, the Public Administration Study Program has also obtained international accreditation from FIBAA. The Public Administration Study Program at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, UPN "Veteran" East Java (FISIP-UPNVJT), was established to meet the needs of professional personnel in the field of Public Administration and to assist the government in providing competent and competitive professional personnel. Furthermore, the Public Administration Study Program at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, UPN "Veteran" East Java (FISIP-UPNVJT), was established to produce Public Administration graduates who have integrity, personality, social sensitivity, and strong character, as well as adequate scholarly competence and high competitiveness, who are faithful and devoted to the One Almighty God while upholding the values and spirit of national defense, ready to devote themselves to the interests of society, nation, and state.

Missions:

1. Organizing and developing education in the field of national administration science characterized by national defense.

2. Enhancing a research culture in the development of national administration science that is beneficial for the welfare of society.

3. Conducting community service based on research and local wisdom.

4. Establishing clean governance to achieve budget management accountability in the national administration science study program.

5. Developing the quality of human resources with excellent attitudes and values, performance, mastery of relevant knowledge, and managerial skills in the field of national administration science.

6. Improving the integrated management system of facilities and infrastructure in the national administration science study program.

7. Enhancing institutional cooperation with stakeholders both domestically and internationally.
