The Study of Design Knowledge - This encompasses aesthetics, design history, and drawing skills, providing students with a solid foundation in the theoretical aspects of interior design.
The Development of Design Knowledge - Focusing on spatial principles, psychology, and ergonomics, this area aims to deepen students' understanding of how interior spaces affect human behavior and well-being.
Interior Design Practice - Covering programming, the design process, and presentation skills, this practical aspect ensures that students gain hands-on experience in creating and communicating their design concepts effectively.
Supporting Knowledge - This includes material knowledge, natural and built environments, social, cultural, and economic contexts. It equips students with the broader understanding necessary to make informed design decisions that are sensitive to various influences and constraints.
Rooted Interior Design Studies - Focused on culture, entrepreneurship, and national defense, this innovative aspect encourages students to explore design from a perspective that integrates cultural roots with entrepreneurial spirit and a commitment to national values.
Students in this program will learn to understand human needs in a space, space organization, and develop a keen sensitivity to design elements. The curriculum links learning outcomes with the advancement of knowledge in the field, highlighting the uniqueness of the interior design program with its emphasis on cultural knowledge, technology, and creative entrepreneurship. This includes design planning, realization, development, and innovation.
The program collaborates closely with the Interior Design Association of Indonesia (HDII) and the Asia-Pacific Space Designers Association (APSDA), offering students unparalleled opportunities for professional development and networking within the industry.
