Universitas Trisakti (USAKTI) was established by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia on 29 November 1965 through the Minister of Higher Education and Science Decree. It is one of Indonesia's largest private university, which campuses spread over eight prime locations of Jakarta with the total area of 92,780 m2. which is spread over 8 (eight) strategic locations in the center of DKI Jakarta.
The vision of USAKTI is "to be a trustworthy, international-standard university while maintaining local values in developing science, technology, arts and culture to improve the quality of life and society". Trikrama is the USAKTI‘s educational philosophy, which aims to provide a foundation for every citizen on campus maintaining moral integrity, values, authority and dignity as follow: 1) Piety, Diligent, Skillful (Takwa, Tekun, Terampil) as the individual ethics. 2) Sharpening, Caring, Nurturing (Asah, Asih, Asuh) as the relationship ethics among individuals. 3) Noble, Truthful, Sportive (Satria, Setia, Sportif) as the ethics between individuals and community.
USAKTI has nine faculties: (1) Law, (2) Economics and Business, (3) Medicine, (4) Dentistry, (5) Civil Engineering and Planning, (6) Industrial Technology, (7) Earth and Energy Technology, (8) Landscape Architecture and Environmental Technology, and (9) Fine Arts and Design. There are 47 study programs comprising of 23 Bachelor Programs, five Diploma III Programs, one Diploma IV Program, three Professional Programs, 12 Masters Programs, one Specialist Program, and two Doctoral Programs. USAKTI presently employs 1017 faculty members and has 21,028 active students; and 12,720 students are undergraduates. Annually, USAKTI accepts around 4,000 new undergraduate students. Their origins are very diverse from all 34 provinces in Indonesia. It has produced more than 100,000 alumni.
